LaHie
Leadership
The LaHIE Steering Committee is composed of one representative
from each data publishing organization.
The LaHIE Steering Committee prioritized potential data publishers based on four
factors:
• technical capacity to provide data;
• significant data sets available in electronic format;
• willingness to share data with other organizations and providers;
and
• geographic location and population density.
Publishing partners in the Baton Rouge area include:
• Baton Rouge General Medical Center
• Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center
• Ochsner Health System, and
• Baton Rouge Primary Care Collaborative.
In New Orleans, the following healthcare providers participate:
• Ochsner Health System;
• Medical Center of Louisiana/LSU Health Care Services Division;
and
• Daughters of Charity Services of New Orleans.
LaHIE is also receiving valuable data for both regions from:
• Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Louisiana; and
• Louisiana Medicaid Program.
LaHIE partners will continue to:
• Make health information accessible from Katrina devastated areas;
• Enhance interoperability within a market and between markets;
• Enhance
exchange of health information among a variety of healthcare
providers;
• Enhance organizational infrastructure and technology
that is scalable;
• Enhance the security and privacy model; and
• Develop a cost/revenue model for sustainability.
